Friday Beauty

This Friday's Beauty is Kat Dennings.
I must admit i didn't know much about her acting career but knew her from my friend's blogs and Tumblrs, she's what i'd call an exotic beauty, there's something about her that draws my attention.
Little did i know that i own one of her cinematic classics on DVD, yes i have "Big Mama's House 2"!
I think she's great reading the vapid lines on her new tv series "Two Broke Girls" but she's paired up with a horrible actress and this situation "comedy" is so cliche and horrible.
I hope she gets better roles deserving of her talent!
Take the money and run Kat!

Rare Rock & Roll

The Challengers were one the better surf/rock instrumental bands back in the cool sunny days of the early 60's but they like a few other instrumental bands ( the great Astronauts come to mind as one of the other bands to try this.) tried releasing songs with vocals without much success. Here they are on Hollywood A Go-Go singing a soft pop/rock tune.

Vote!

So true.

Friday Beauty

Holly Madison, the girl Hef let get away (stupid mistake Hef she would have made you happy in your declining years)! There's something about this lady that i find attractive and can't explain, yes she's beautiful but there's something more there.
And she's one of the rare Blondes that i find enchanting (Nothing against Blondes but i tend to fall for Brunettes and Redheads) and i crush on her.

Tuesdays With Lee Van Cleef

New TV Season

So the new television season has started, pretty much with a whimper and not a bang. I didn't watch Dancing With The Who The Heck Are These "Stars"?, don't know what was on the CW..i mean who watches that anyways? So that left NBC...some crappy American Idol rip-off was on there so that left CBS. CBS gave us two new episodes of How I Meet Your Mother for some reason...i'm afraid the show is skating along now after seeing these two episodes, it's still better and funnier than most sitcoms on the air but REALLY..have him meet the Mother already....this gimmick is old and way tired now or just get rid of the un-funny nebbish guy and make the show more about the really funny characters, now we get to the much anticipated (so the press says) Two and a Half Men...it sucked, Ashton Kutcher was...Ashton Kutcher (you know, the un-funny Kutcher) his big gag was to get naked and the producers thought that was so knee-slapping funny they did the gag again ( i mean if i want lame jokes repeated over and over i'll watch Family Guy) the show's writers basically Chuck Lorre and his vendetta against Sheen wrote a ham-fisted slam against Charlie...Charlie Sheen has shown more class in this whole contrived debacle of Mr. Lorre's...the show is dead, it needs Charlie, i bet by December it'll be put on hiatus. Now there's Two Poorly Acted Girls or whatever this "Dead Sit Com Walking" is called, i mean Sh*t My Dad Says had more laughs..cliche written, badly acted (Kate Dennings cannot act) badly casted etc etc, i turned to watch the finale of Hell's Kitchen and then the Charlie Sheen roast which was funny. Hawaii Five-O was ok (Commercial breaks were so long i could watch the Roast without missing anything on H5O) typical well made action series which CBS does well. I totally forgot if Castle was on or not mostly because it's out of place on ABC which seems to try to be the Lifetime channel with the shows they air.

OK that's my report, i think i'll watch more PBS until Thursday when Big Bang Theory comes back, that i know will be funny.

Friday Beauty

I think the honor of being the first E. Banana's "Friday Beauty" goes to the breathtaking and beautiful Miss Claire Sinclair. She is one of the most beautiful women to be chosen Playmate of the Year in a long time (My crush on Holly Madison still stands but Claire is something special). Look at that smile, those eyes *sigh*

Storage Wars

If i did the storage auction job for a living, i know who i'd be...

Barry Weiss.
Quirky, funny, old and having way too much fun.

Big Brother

Rachel won Big Brother, i didn't expect that when the season started because she can annoy a Baptist into swearing like a sailor with her antics. But after her allies got picked off one by one she played a smart game against the newbies and did the right thing to eliminate Adam (he would have beaten her) and kept Porsche (who really just floated her way through the game and not making any real allies in the game).
Can i say i find Rachel a sexy redhead? Well i do. :)

Cliff Robertson

We've lost one of my favorite actors, Cliff Robertson. From his guest roles on the Twilight Zone to P.T. 109 ( JFK himself picked Cliff to play him. ) to one of the best war films "Too Late The Hero" with Bloody Michael Caine and so many more. Great actor and a long life, passing away at 88.

10 Years Ago This Sunday

This will be the only mention i'll make about the terrorist attack of Sept. 11, 2001. I had a friend who was going to the Twin Towers that day but she overslept and didn't make it, that's my only real connection to the tragedy besides being an American, 10 years have passed and the towers are being rebulit, the mastermind behind the attacks is dead and my friend is still alive but no longer a friend. I choose today to speak of the attacks because Sunday will be flooded with tributes (many of which i will not watch, it's a personal thing for the families of the heroes and innocent victims of that day).
America will always stand because of who we are, terrorists inside and oustide this country just don't understand that.
